Why did you turn Vegan??

In high school I realized I had no justification for ignoring the most basic interests of other animals for my most menial interest for the taste of their flesh, but I really didn't let it bother me until I left to college when I became a vegetarian. That got me to start reading a lot of animal rights literature, and eventually I stumbled across the Vegan Freak podcast as well, which really was the final straw for pushing me over the edge to being fully vegan.

Do you call yourself an "Animal Rights Activist"??	Yes, I do

Are you a member of an animal rights group??	I started a club on my campus this year to promote veganism called Veggie-Might! I also do a lot of leafleting from Vegan Outreach on my own, and attend a lot of events put on by NARN (Northwest Animal Rights Network), which a major animal rights group in Seattle.

Who is your favorit animal rights speaker or writer??	Bob Torres or Steven Wise

What do you think about breeding animal companions or zoo animals??	No! We absolutely shouldn't breed companion animals for profit while others are having to be put down. How can our interest in viewing other animals in captivity possibly match up to their interest in liberty? Turn the zoos into arboretums!

What do you think about vivisection??	Sure, if we use the same rules to decide whether an experiment is ethical on other animals that we use to decide if it'd be ethical on human ones, then I have no problem with vivisection, but then again for human purposes I'd imagine we'd get much better results doing the experiments on humans.

What do you think about factory farming??	Atrocious

What do you think about hunting and fishing??	Oh, well if you're just putting a bullet through another animal or dragging a hook through its face and suffocating it then its fine... *sarcasm*

What do you think about fur??	It's as classy as wearing someone's scalp!

What animal rights issue is the most urgent according to you??	Getting to the point where other animals are no longer treated as property, but given rights as the sentient beings they are.
