Why did you turn Vegan??

I was a vegetarian for 14 years and in all honestly it became habit rather than a cause. Although I was incredibly strict, verging on veganism for a long time. I was reccommended to read Silent Ark by a vegan and I was apalled with myself for not having realised the disgusting way cows and chickens are treated and decided there is not much difference between vegetarians and meat eaters. I am now much happier within myself and can't imagine an alternative lifestyle.
